Description
Remote - US, based on the West Coast. Slight preference for someone who would be interested in occasionally coming into our SF office (but not required; fully remote is okay)
Must-Have HARD Skills
- Tracking and facilitating XFN-heavy Data Engineering requests. This includes partnering with stakeholders to align on expectations, building/managing/tracking tasks/projects/sprints, developing documentation, producing executive comms, etc.
- Strong verbal and written comms, experience developing presentations for leadership, memos for non-technical stakeholders.
- Organization / attention to detail
Nice-to-have Skills
- Experience working in eDiscovery and/or other highly-regulated environments (e.g. legal, compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, finance, etc)
- Non-traditional background / interdisciplinary experience. Working in other roles, industries, startups, etc is welcome, as long as someone has at least 5-7 years of total experience in TPM and DE. (Big tech background is not necessary.)
- Experience leveraging AI to improve processes / automate workflows. etc
US Remote
- A Technical Program Manager (TPM) is a specialized role at Client focused on driving the execution of complex technical programs and projects.
- TPMs leverage their technical expertise, program leadership, and strategic influence to proactively identify and solve problems, drive alignment across cross-functional teams (XFNs), and increase execution efficiency and communications.
Key Responsibilities of TPMs:
- Program Definition: Help define the right scope, goals, and metrics for projects and programs.
- Roadmap Alignment: Build alignment between teams and coordinate dependencies.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify risks early and work to reduce surprises.
- Communication: Keep stakeholders informed and ensure transparency.
- Program Execution: Track progress, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery.
- Process Improvement: Enhance process structures to support project teams.
- Technical Leadership: Advocate for quality in technical design and system architectures, and influence team culture for higher product quality.
Typical Day-to-Day in the role
- Partner with Data Engineers and Attorneys on the delivery of pipelines as needed for Client’s global legal docket.
- Program Definition: Help define the right scope, goals, and metrics for projects and programs.
