Instruction Designer II 

Description: 

Additional feedback from the manager: 

  • The individual needs to be proficient in Articulate – a plus if the candidate has video recording/editing and Adobe graphic skill.
  • This position will not have a remote option – they need to work 40 hours in the Lake County office. I prefer not to fill this position with a junior level individual. 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establishes measurement and evaluation designs and develops assessment instruments.
  • May oversee other instructors and their work. Works with supervisors/managers to develop plans, timetables and contingencies for performance improvement intervention.
  • Introduces new training ideas into the organization, adapts new ideas and converts them into approaches that meet training/regulatory challenges.
  • Facilitate team interventions
  • Evaluate all aspects of entity training
  • Plan and design education/training material
  • Conduct education needs assessment
  • Design effective intervention strategies that improve individual and organizational performance
  • Assess the needs of the organization;
  • Establish standards for training and performance assessment.
  • Develop curriculam
  • Consult and apply advanced instructional design
  • Train instructors
  • Assess impact of training on job performance
  • Participate in internal audits.
  • Leads projects, identifies scope and outcomes, motivates participants and leads project to conclusion.
  • Participates in benchmarking and evaluates training effectiveness.
  • Possible light management, team lead.
Eligibility Requirements:

Education: BA/BS required. Experience: 5 plus years of training/instructional design or related experience preferably in healthcare or other regulated field. Key Competencies Required: Excellent project management capabilities, strong communication skills, strong conceptual abilities, and strong team orientation.

a. Required Skill 1:Strong design for virtual asynchronous deliverables 
b. Required Skill 2:Strong eLearning development in Storyline and other software 
c. Required Skill 3: Quickly distilling complex information into manageable learning components (knowing how to chunk information via multiple deliverables) 
d. Required Skill 4:Active analysis listening to identify key needs/gaps in order to craft learning objectives 
e. Required Skill 5: Mature instructional designer that has demonstrated value add through the learning materials implemented 
3) What years of experience, education, and/or certification is required? BA/BS required. Experience: 5 plus years of training/instructional design or related experience preferably in healthcare or other regulated field. 
4) What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification? a plus if the candidate has video recording/editing and Adobe graphic skill. 
5) What is the environment that this person will be working in (i.e. group setting vs individual role)? Group with individual accountability
