Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer (PE)
Work Location: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Type: Full-Time | 5 days onsite | 8-hour shifts
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in structural design, concrete and steel systems, stormwater management, and civil construction practices for electric utility facilities.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to support substation and construction projects within an electric utility environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in steel and concrete design, stormwater management, and civil works, along with hands-on experience using STAAD and other relevant engineering tools.
Key Responsibilities

Perform civil and structural engineering analysis and design for electric utility projects, including substations and various construction initiatives.

Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications related to steel, concrete, and foundation systems.

Utilize STAAD, MathCad, L-Pile, and related software for modeling, analysis, and design.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements.

Support construction, field engineering, and design teams by providing technical guidance.

Prepare engineering documentation, project reports, and design packages.
Must-Have Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum requirement).

5–10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering within the electric utility industry.

Proficiency in STAAD, MathCad, and L-Pile.

Strong background in steel and concrete design, stormwater management, and general civil works.

Ability to work onsite 5 days per week (no hybrid option).
Preferred Qualifications

10–15 years of engineering experience supporting electric utility projects.

Experience with substation design and construction support.

Familiarity with utility standards, permitting, and construction practices.
Deal Breakers

No PE license.

No electric utility experience.

Cannot commit to 100% onsite work.
