Onsite, 3 Days/Week Required
NYC or Sunnyvale
Top 3 Must-Have Skills -
- Extremely proficient with NX CAD with prior experience working with complex ID surfaces
- Ability to deliver strong technical communication verbally, in written and presentation form as needed
- Previous experience working on consumer electronics
Summary:
- The primary responsibility of a mechanical engineer in this role is to assist team members with creating and documenting 3D and 2D designs within a PLM environment.
- The engineer may also support hands-on tasks such as rapid prototyping, fixture development, and mechanical testing
Job Responsibilities:
- Expedient delivery of 3D and 2D in a PLM environment
- 3 days in-office and lab work in NYC/SUN to include prototype assembly and rework, fixture development, and mechanical testing
- Support hands-on tasks such as rapid prototyping, fixture development, and mechanical testing
Skills:
MUST HAVE
- Extremely proficient with NX CAD with prior experience working with complex ID surfaces
- Proactive communication skills
- Ability to deliver strong technical communication verbally, in written and presentation form as needed
- Detail oriented
- Previous experience working on consumer electronics
STRONGLY DESIRED
- Experience working for a major West Coast consumer electronics company and familiarity with related product cycles
- Experience working on soft goods or textiles
- Experience with mechanical test and inspection equipment such as Instron, microscopes, OMM, temperature and humidity chambers
- Experience with prototyping equipment such as 3DP, laser cutter, heating elements, adhesives dispense/activation, soldering
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required
Years of Experience :6+ Years of Experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
