Must have incoming inspection experience with the ability to read prints and drawings, use height gauges, calipers, surface plate, CMM or vision system skills are a plus.

Skillset Matrix Manager Notes:

  • Ability to navigate EBS systems with data entry.
  • What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks) Teir 1 meeting with the days priorities set. Working off a inspection priority/aging report. Interacting with the other inspectors, production team and engineering. Updating the EBS system with the daily transactions. Accessing drawings through Agile.
  • Experience as an Incoming Inspector utilizing height gauges, calipers, surface plate inspections. CMM or vision system skills are a plus and
  • Priority soft skills Working knowledge of Microsoft apps Excel, Word. Ability to navigate EBS systems with data entry.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
  • Perform Incoming/In-Process Inspection on mechanical/electrical components using standard inspection equipment such as Height Gauges, Surface Plates, Verniers, Dial Indicators, Ring/Plug Gauges, Optical Comparators, CMM, OGP etc.
  • Complete and/or review Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection documentation. (Component Inspection Folders, checklist, release forms, calibration data records etc.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCE’s) on Nonconformance’s.
  • Perform detailed review of Device History Records and labels as part of final inspection/release activities for the finished product.
  • Inspect field service replaceable units. Perform requested inspections for Engineering and other departments. (First Articles and Courtesy inspections) And assist with the development of appropriate inspection procedures, checklist, forms and Inspection Instructions.
  • Maintain QC Activity Collection Plans and other applicable tracking logs.
  • Prepared incoming inspection reports such as Inspection projects Skip lot and incoming inspection inventory.
