Job Description:
Strategic and business skills
• Strategic planning: The ability to contribute to high-level plans and initiatives that align with a department’s (Service & Repair) strategic objectives. This includes defining program controls, which are the procedures and processes to manage the program.
• Business acumen: An understanding of how the company operates, customer needs, and how the software delivers value to the business and its stakeholders.
• Benefits realization: A focus on ensuring that the programs deliver intended business benefits and outcomes, such as improved efficiency.
• Change management: Understanding of new software implementation, which involves adapting current processes.
Leadership and interpersonal skills
• Stakeholder management: Engaging effectively with leaders, project managers, and team members. Understanding expectations and keeping leaders informed and aligned with project/program goals.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex ideas, rally teams, manage expectations, and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution: Mediating disputes, addressing disagreements among teams, negotiating resources and timelines with internal and external parties.
Technical and domain knowledge
• Technical aptitude: A foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and the underlying technology. This allows for effective communication with engineers and informed decision-making.
• Project management methodologies: Awareness of project management frameworks, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Knowledge of project management tools: Awareness of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project.
• Software architecture awareness: The ability to understand the fundamental components and design choices of the software being developed, including databases, APIs, and scalability considerations.
- Experience Work with all JJMT Operating Companies using MD S&R to drive an understanding of business value and adoption of the application.
- Actively participate in all team sessions including planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and story grooming.
- Ability to successfully work with Agile teams (in-house and remote) within a highly collaborative environment.
- Assist with the building, prioritizing, monitoring, and maintaining the application backlog, collect business prioritization for development.
- Develop operational knowledge of Operating Companies & understand how MD S&R current & future requirements will bring user value.
- Work with developers to breakdown user needs into use cases and collaborate to refine requirements.
- Engage with developers and quality teams to ensure requirements, design, documents, and customer communications are updated.
- Drive collaboration and maintain consistent, open lines of communication across all user groups.
- Able to function independently with limited work direction and raises as appropriate. • Multi-lingual and cultural awareness preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, required.
- Minimum of 4 years general work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar role, required.
- Experience working with Service Operations, preferred.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, preferred.
- Experience crafting work-flow diagrams, preferred.
- Experience working as a liaison between technological and business, preferred.
- Experience using software applications like Jira, Visio, Atlassian Jira, SAFe Agile, preferred. • Medical device industry, preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestic and international, required.
Top Three Skills:
- Current cross-functional, cross-teams, multi-regional responsibilities in medical devices or healthcare industries.
- Familiarity with software application teams, workday, development for internal business teams (not consumer/public applications) Drive collaboration and maintain consistent, open lines of communication across all user groups.
