Work Schedule
8-4/9-5 EST Mon-Fri
Possibility for extension after one year.
Fully Onsite. flexible start and end times within reason. Most opt for 8am-4pm.
- 1-3 years lab experience.
- Ideally experience would be in a professional setting but for the right candidate or PhD candidate more experience can come from school setting.
- Role is heavily lab and team based.
- They will generate data to contribute to internal project teams.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled research specialist to join our team as a contractor, providing expertise in in vitro and in vivo techniques with a focus on lysosomal biology, neuroimmunology and neurodegeneration. This position will support ongoing research efforts, including experiments that require proficiency in high content imaging, lysosomal related assays, cell culture, and various laboratory assays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments to support neurodegeneration and lysosomal research initiatives.
- Utilize high throughtput imaging to analyze cellular responses and autophagy phenotypes.
- Perform cell culture, immunohistochemistry, and other cellular and molecular biology techniques.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, providing insights to the research team.
- Maintain meticulous lab records and adhere to all laboratory safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Neuroscience, Immunology, Biology, or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with in vitro and in vivo models, particularly in neuroimmunology and neurodegeneration.
- Proficiency with high content imaging and familiarity with related analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with neurodegeneration/neuroinflammatory models or disease-related studies.
- Knowledge of advanced microscopy techniques and image analysis.
- Demonstrated success in a research or lab-based setting.
Contract Details:
- This is a temporary contractor position designed to support specific project goals.
- Flexible start date with an anticipated duration of 6 months.
- Location: On site required.
