Description
Hours- Candidates should be flexible to work a 8-hour shift between 8 AM – 5;00 PM with a one hour lunch. Fulltime hybrid, Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday through Thursday in office.
Possibility of Conversion to Full-Time: Open for extension of job assignment, possible conversion to fulltime with the right candidate.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, including Redshift.
- Proficiency in Tableau (our primary BI tool).
- Deep understanding of data modeling and Big Data concepts.
- Proven experience building out new data models and implementing data mesh architecture.
- Familiarity with creating new governance models for production and business environments.
- Ability to write compelling stories within reports in Tableau Cloud.
- Experience working with SageMaker and creating roadmaps for data solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native data solutions and querying data in the cloud.

We're seeking a lead member to join our agile delivery team and drive the development of impactful data and analytics solutions.
- In this hands-on role, you'll be the bridge between complex business needs and technical execution. You'll collaborate closely with business analysts, BI developers, report consumers, and data/BI architects to translate vision into a clear, actionable roadmap.
- You'll play a critical role in shaping our long-term data strategy by transforming requirements into refined backlog items.

What You'll Do
Product Leadership & Strategy
- Own and manage the product backlog for the Data & BI scrum team, continuously refining features and user stories.
- Translate high-level business vision and reporting needs into concrete product roadmaps, epics, and user stories.
- Define clear acceptance criteria to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders—including business analysts, BI creators, report consumers, and architects—to elicit, document, and validate data and reporting requirements.
- Lead discussions to understand analytics needs, explore technical solutions, and prioritize delivery based on business value.
- Map reporting and data use cases to existing architectural solutions.
- Agile Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and PI planning.
- Work collaboratively with developers, QA, and the Scrum Master to ensure clarity, efficient delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Review data products for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with acceptance criteria before release.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on team progress, challenges, and alignment to business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations related to data products or backlog prioritization.
What You'll Bring
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must have previous work experience with Big Data projects and financial insurance industry in the work history portion of their resume .
- Strong technical acumen in data product and BI solution delivery.
- Deep understanding of data modeling techniques and architectural patterns (e.g., star schema, normalized/denormalized models).
- Experience with BI and data wrangling tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
