PhD with 1-2 yrs exp

 

Onsite role 100%

 

Early development science team

  • GCMS deals with small molecules so will not work
  • Academic and research exp will be considered
  • Hamilton is used by client
  • Bachelors or master’s degree needed or fresh PhD
  • Protein based exp needed
  • Protein mass spectrometry exp
  • Mass spectrometry based
  • Gene therapy and ADC
  • Large molecules biologics
  • Proteins or Biologics exp needed
  • Experience with biochemical and biophysical characterization of biologic proteins would be preferred.
  • Exp in sample prep and running samples in mass spectrometry
  • Exp in biophysical techniques like chromatography
  • Experience with liquid handling robots and their programming would be highly beneficial. (Nice to have)
  • Industry exp will be given first preference
  • Will be working cross functionally with pre-formulation team
  • HPLC-MS or LCMS exp needed (Need biologics)

Summary

  • The Biologics CMC Developability team is an integral part of the Biologics CMC Drug Product Development Org. The Biologics CMC Developability team is responsible for-
  • the identification of biophysical- and chemical liabilities in discovery-stage biologic drug candidates to guide lead selection,
  • for characterization of the key CMC attributes important for biologic drug development. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated scientist to join the Biologics CMC Developability team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth LC-MS based characterization of therapeutic biologic molecules and their post-translational modifications.
  • Conduct biophysical and biochemical characterization of biologic drug candidates, as needed.
  • Execute experimental protocols, collect results, and perform data analysis carefully and independently.
  • Maintain excellent documentation of work including electronic lab notebook and protocols.
  • Prepare and deliver concise scientific presentations of experimental results.
  • Oversee maintenance of key laboratory equipment and routine laboratory operations.
  • Build strong relationships with other team members and across groups.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and documentation compliance.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry (or equivalent, e.g., Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences) with 5+ (BS) or 2+ years (MS), or Ph.D. with 0+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with protein mass-spectrometry (subunit analysis, peptide mapping, disulfide mapping) and data processing is required.
  • Experience with biochemical and biophysical characterization of biologic proteins would be desirable.
  • Experience with liquid handling robots and their programming would be highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated track record of independent thinking, creativity, and scientific accomplishment.
  • Highly responsible and self-motivated. Skills to plan and conduct experiments with high quality and timely deliverables.
  • Able to perform data analysis using MS Excel & GraphPad.
  • Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
