Biologics Developability Screening and Automation
Open for candidates who are ready to relocate at their own expense
PhD with 1-2 yrs exp
Onsite role 100%
Early development science team
- GCMS deals with small molecules so will not work
- Academic and research exp will be considered
- Hamilton is used by client
- Bachelors or master’s degree needed or fresh PhD
- Protein based exp needed
- Protein mass spectrometry exp
- Mass spectrometry based
- Gene therapy and ADC
- Large molecules biologics
- Proteins or Biologics exp needed
- Experience with biochemical and biophysical characterization of biologic proteins would be preferred.
- Exp in sample prep and running samples in mass spectrometry
- Exp in biophysical techniques like chromatography
- Experience with liquid handling robots and their programming would be highly beneficial. (Nice to have)
- Industry exp will be given first preference
- Will be working cross functionally with pre-formulation team
- HPLC-MS or LCMS exp needed (Need biologics)
Summary
- The Biologics CMC Developability team is an integral part of the Biologics CMC Drug Product Development Org. The Biologics CMC Developability team is responsible for-
- the identification of biophysical- and chemical liabilities in discovery-stage biologic drug candidates to guide lead selection,
- for characterization of the key CMC attributes important for biologic drug development. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated scientist to join the Biologics CMC Developability team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth LC-MS based characterization of therapeutic biologic molecules and their post-translational modifications.
- Conduct biophysical and biochemical characterization of biologic drug candidates, as needed.
- Execute experimental protocols, collect results, and perform data analysis carefully and independently.
- Maintain excellent documentation of work including electronic lab notebook and protocols.
- Prepare and deliver concise scientific presentations of experimental results.
- Oversee maintenance of key laboratory equipment and routine laboratory operations.
- Build strong relationships with other team members and across groups.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and documentation compliance.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry (or equivalent, e.g., Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences) with 5+ (BS) or 2+ years (MS), or Ph.D. with 0+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with protein mass-spectrometry (subunit analysis, peptide mapping, disulfide mapping) and data processing is required.
- Experience with biochemical and biophysical characterization of biologic proteins would be desirable.
- Experience with liquid handling robots and their programming would be highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated track record of independent thinking, creativity, and scientific accomplishment.
- Highly responsible and self-motivated. Skills to plan and conduct experiments with high quality and timely deliverables.
- Able to perform data analysis using MS Excel & GraphPad.
- Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
